Click on the small "+"-Symbols to open the search filters. With the filters you can decide:

  • which Section you want to search,
  • what type of documents you want search in, and
  • which language the documents shall have,

The first filter ('WHERE') is open by default. To exclude anything displayed by the filters you simply uncheck the checkbox near that criterion.

DocID-Search

if you have the 6-digit TransLex Document ID (DocID) simply enter this number into the search-box to access this document.

For the sake of quick access to documents it is highly recommended to cite TransLex documents always with that DocID. Every TransLex-document has a unique DocID.

TransLex-Principles

The TransLex-Principles contain more than 120 principles and rules of transnational law, the New Lex Mercatoria. Go through the list or use the "Jump to"-box to get to a specific Chapter.

Klick on the Principle of your choice and get its black letter text and access to many full-text references such as domestic statutes, legal doctrine, uniform law instruments, court decisions and arbitral awards.

In the top right hand corner of your screen, you find useful tools to support your research. By klicking on the "see principle history" button, you get an account of the changes which the principle underwent in the past. You can also print the document and/or save it as a pdf-file.
